Today is the Aussie's birthday. This photo was a test photo that he graciously sat for while I tinkered with the lights' exposure settings. Obviously this was one of the first shots, because as the testing went on, his weariness began to really reveal itself via obnoxious facial expressions and body poses with each test photo I took. I will not post those photos here, as I'm sure he'll be quite embarrassed.

Andre Leffall (leffallliving.com/andre) is a real estate professional based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I had the pleasure of photographing him at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco last summer.
I met Andre through his husband Kevin. Kevin worked with my husband at Children's Hospital Oakland. Each time Darren and I had dinner with Kevin and Andre, I was always amused by the same look that fell over Kevin and Darren's faces each time Andre and I would talk about the Oakland A's, or insisting on taking a picture of our meal: the look of strained patience. I know that the phrase "strained patience" is a bit of an oxymoron, but that's really the best way to describe it.
