Reacquainting oneself with 35mm film.

Nikon F100, 35mm, Fuji NPS 160 Pro.

Sidenote: It's a dangerous thing to romanticize something - in doing so, you lose sight of the reality of the very thing that you're romanticizing. While the end product of photographic film is gorgeous, the act of getting there can often be a pain, from development, to scanning, to processing. I found myself gazing at my digital SLR and thinking, "WHY ARE YOU SO EASY."
